BWP has taken the lead on an exciting new campaign with Orem City, Imagine Orem. Partnering with Christie Oostema of People+Place and Deborah Jensen of d+j Design Works, BWP is honored to be working with the great City of Orem to launch the ‘Imagine Orem’ campaign to help the future of the City become reality. It is expected that Orem will reach the magical 100,000-resident barrier sometime in 2018. With that certain future growth, BWP is working with the City to launch and maintain a 12-month campaign called “Imagine Orem” to implement new ways to engage residents in helping plan the city as it grows. Imagine Orem is an effort to reach residents for input on the creation of downtown districts, changes to the Geneva Road corridor and future planning projects. Unique from previous outreach efforts, we are working will be testing new and innovative ways to reach a broader population of city residents. On Thursday, a new website was launched at http://imagineorem.org as a primary source of information. Embedded throughout the site are surveys to leave comment and suggestions. This Monday from 6:00 – 7:30 there will the first of four community workshops held at the Orem Public Library where there will be a town hall meeting for adults, a Minecraft city building competition for youth, Lego games and art activities for children and free BBQ for everyone who participates.
We hope everyone in Orem will join us on Monday evening and let their voices be heard!
