In 2022, BWP Communications partnered with the newly formed Utah Lake Authority (ULA) to develop a compelling, modern brand identity that reflects the organization’s mission to protect, restore, and enhance Utah Lake. As the successor to the Utah Lake Commission, the ULA sought to establish a fresh, recognizable brand that would symbolize its renewed commitment to collaboration, conservation, and responsible stewardship. Strategic Branding and Visual Identity Development
We collaborated closely with ULA leadership and local stakeholders to create a powerful, cohesive brand system. Through extensive brand discovery, we explored the commission’s history and the ULA’s new direction, gathering insights through a 90-minute information session and resident surveys. Our team then developed a series of mood boards and logo concepts, incorporating feedback to refine the visual identity. The final logo design, complemented by a custom color palette and style guide, authentically represents the natural beauty, resilience, and evolving future of Utah Lake.

Beyond logo and visual identity creation, we provided the ULA with a full suite of branded materials to ensure consistency across all platforms. This included detailed brand messaging, taglines, and key copy points that effectively communicate the ULA’s values and objectives.
